Our Super Bowl celebration

Our kids equate the Super Bowl with eating junk in the living room. And that's exactly what we did. Jason's dad spent the day with us, and the junk started flowing about an hour before the game. But the big excitement was little Miss Snaggle Tooth finally lost her tooth. For nearly three weeks that tooth was dangling and spinning, and it was finally a glass of milk and a chocolate chip cookie that took care of it. This picture is just classic Alanya.

At half time, Jason and I were amused as the kids asked who Bruce Springsteen was. Of course we had to share a family story with the kids. Jason's uncle Norm went to high school with Bruce Springsteen. Not only that, Norm also was a musician and after graduation went on to college to major in music. Bruce decided instead to try his hand at making it as a big rock star. Ben's response while he sat there watching the Boss perform in front of millions? "That must mean Uncle Norm is a whole lot smarter than him!" Ben, I think you're right.

We had fun singing along and embarrassing the kids with Bruce too. They kind of know who he is because Kevin loves him and we saw him in concert a few years ago, but they had never seen him perform. It was funny.
